Information, awareness and education of local communities and visitors to the responsibility area of the Parnassos National Park Management Body are part of the "Awareness of the local and of broader level population" 3rd Aces of Action (Decision-house). Such actions are also provided by the relevant legislation (eg, L.2742/1999).
According to the Direct Labor Decision, information and awareness of visitors, local residents and relevant services is focused on issues related to the ecological and historical-cultural value of the area, as well as to the need to protect and respect it.
The ultimate goal of Environmental Awareness Actions is both to influence perceptions and attitudes of social groups as well as to strengthen participatory processes with the integration of the local and wider population in the decision-making system through the development of partnerships with local organizations.
The Management Body implements information campaigns on all levels of education and the local community, organizes meetings, workshops and conferences. In addition, it designs information and promotional material such as brochures, posters, calendars etc.
